Michael Powell

District 2, Seat 3 – Cape Coral

Mr. Powell has served on the Board since 2019 and currently serves as the Board President. He has resided in Cape Coral since 2003 and has three children. He is a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, in the state and local tax practice and served 20 years as manager of property taxes, General Electric Company. Mr. Powell is Six Sigma Green Belt certified. He successfully completed American Society of Appraisers and International Association of Assessing Officials coursework. He has a bachelor of science in business accounting from Kelley School of Business Indiana University-Bloomington. Mr. Powell is a certified member and presenter for the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT), and a member of the IPT Property Tax Symposium Committee.

Community Service:  Coach, youth basketball and baseball, YMCA; coach, youth baseball, Verdow Little League; coach, youth baseball, Starz Baseball.
