Mr. Joyce has served on the Board since 2016. He and his wife, Cheryl, are long-time residents of North Fort Myers and have been LCEC members since 1983.

Mr. Joyce is currently president of Forestry Resources Ecological, Inc. He is also past vice president of Ecological Sciences at Kitson Babcock, LLC; past director of Environmental Sciences; and Deputy Director, Planning, for the Lee County Department of Community Development. Mr. Joyce is the owner/grower of Deep South Nurseries, LLC, and a certified arborist as well as past president of the Florida Chapter, International Society of Arboriculture. He is a Florida-certified master logger by the Florida Forestry Association and a past state and local president of the Florida Native Plant Society. In addition, he is a Professional Mangrove Trimmer for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and has his vegetation competency for the City of Sanibel. He is a member of the Florida Farm Bureau and Florida Nursery, Growers & Landscape Association.

Community Service:  Past chair, Lee County Local Planning Agency; consultant, Edison & Ford Winter Estates; advisor and designer, City of Cape Coral and Cape Coral Rotary Club Community Garden; graduate and alumnus, Fort Myers Citizen’s Police Academy; past chair and member, Randell Research Center Advisory Board on Pine Island; Eagle Scout and Eagle Scout advisor, Boy Scouts of America; boat captain, Pine Island Scallop Search; land steward, Calusa Land Trust of Pine Island; and litter collector, Coastal Clean-Up initiative.
