Chauncey Goss

District 3 – Sanibel, Captiva, and Pine Island

Mr. Goss has served on the Board since 2023. He and his wife, Allison, reside on Sanibel where he has lived since 1970.

Mr. Goss is the founder and managing partner for Goss Practical Solutions, LLC. Prior to opening this firm, he served as the Deputy Staff Director and Director of Budget Review for the House Budget Committee is Washington, DC. He is the chairman of the governing board for the South Water Management District and a former councilman for the City of Sanibel. He is also active in the Sanibel Captiva Kiwanis. Mr. Goss has a bachelor’s degree in area studies (English, Environmental Studies, Political Science) from Rollins College and his master’s degree in public policy from Georgetown University.

Community Service: Board member/trustee, United Way; past board chair, Canterbury School; treasurer, Captains for Clean Water; Collaboratory Audit Committee; board member of Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation, Ding Darling Wildlife Society, Sanibel Community Association, Lee Coast Military Officers Association of America Foundation, Lee County Historic Preservation, and Lee County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board; member of Charlotte Harbor Estuary Program Policy Committee, Lee County Coastal Advisory Council; Boca Grande Fire District Control District Firefighter.
