As your local Cooperative, LCEC offers benefits that are guided by the 7 Cooperatives Principles.

Equity (Democratic Member Control) Members contribute equitably to, and democratically control, the capital of their cooperative. Through elected Board of Trustees, equity represents members’ investment in the LCEC electrical system. LCEC is proud of the financial strength that has allowed us to return over $322 million in surplus equity to our members over the years.

SmartHub (Education and Information) Important information at your fingertips – knowledge is power. Through SmartHub, LCEC provides communication and information to better understand your daily energy usage and help you reach your energy needs. In addition, members are able to schedule payment dates, communicate outages, and set energy usage alerts and notifications. Lastly, we keep members up-to-date with important news through our SmartHub notifications.

Co-op Connections (Concern for Community) In 2022, LCEC became a member of Touchstone Energy Cooperative, a national network of electric cooperatives. It is through this membership with Touchstone that we can bring to you the Co-op connections. Get access to local and national discounts, health savings, and so much more! Co-op Connections also helps out local businesses, providing small businesses with free advertisement on Co-op Connections and design special offers to be mutually beneficial to all in the community
